"Many organizations develop formal mission statements that answer these questions. A mission statement is a statement of the organization’s purpose—what it wants to accomplish in the larger environment. A clear mission statement acts as an “invisible hand” that guides people in the organization."
( Kotler, Gary Armstrong and Philip. Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation, 10th Edition. pg39)

Final Project: Implementation Evalution Control

Planning good strategies is only a start toward successful marketing. A brilliant marketing strategy counts for little if the company fails to implement it properly. Marketing implementation is the process that turns marketing plans into marketing actions in order to accomplish strategic marketing objectives. Whereas marketing planning addresses the what and why of marketing activities, implementation addresses the who, where, when, and how. (Kotler 57)
Kotler, Gary Armstrong and Philip. Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation, 10th Edition.

Because many surprises occur during the implementation of marketing plans, marketers must practice constant marketing control—evaluating the results of marketing strategies and plans and taking corrective action to ensure that objectives are attained. Marketing control involves four steps. Management first sets specific marketing goals. It then measures its performance in the marketplace and evaluates the causes of any differences between expected and actual performance. Finally, management takes corrective action to close the gaps between its goals and its performance. This may require changing the action programs or even changing the goals. (Kotler 58)
Kotler, Gary Armstrong and Philip. Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation, 10th Edition.

Marketing implementation is the process that turns marketing plans into mareting actions. How to make sure everything works out well become one of the most important thing in our calendar. We have to make sure our promotion part, product quality, customer service are going well after we launched our new product. How to guide our new product to survive in this battle.

Final Project: Price

The price part is a very interesting part. We figured we can't set our price either too high or too low. To some consumers, “value” might mean sensible products at affordable prices, especially in the aftermath of the recent downward economic spiral. To other consumers, however, value might mean paying more to get more. (Kotler 14)
Kotler, Gary Armstrong and Philip. Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation, 10th Edition.
There are many snacks food in the market right now, how to make our products stand out from those traditional snack food in price part? To set the price at a low price would be a great idea for our new product. But like I said above, we can't do it too low just 50 cents below the regular price of traditional snack food sounds legit. We would like to hear from our customers said Phileas Fogg's snack food is in great taste and in low price. Although price is not a very important part of our marketing plan but we still have to pay a lot of attention on this. Price is the amount of money customers must pay to obtain the product. Ford calculates suggested retail prices that its dealers might charge for each Escape. But Ford dealers rarely charge the full sticker price. Instead, they negotiate the price with each customer, offering discounts, trade-in allowances, and credit terms. These actions adjust prices for the current competitive and economic situations and bring them into line with the buyer’s perception of the car’s value. (Kotler 53)
Kotler, Gary Armstrong and Philip. Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation, 10th Edition.

Final Project: Promotion

For promotion part, We have planned to get our words out on social media website such as Facebook, twitter and youtube. For this part, Facebook is kind one of the most important part we have to take care of. Set up a business Facebook page and invite a lot of people to Like our page. Or maybe you can even pay for people to Like our page. It's also very important to get our product known by people who have influence. For example, if Lady Gaga loves our product and Facebooked it about how good our product is. We are done here. Also, Youtube is another great way to show people what's going on here. We have to pay for youtube to play our ads every time when people are trying to watch video online. Contrasts the selling concept and the marketing concept. The selling concept takes an inside-out perspective. It starts with the factory, focuses on the company’s existing products, and calls for heavy selling and promotion to obtain profitable sales. It focuses primarily on customer conquest—getting short-term sales with little concern about who buys or why. (Kotler 11)
Kotler, Gary Armstrong and Philip. Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation, 10th Edition.
At last, ways of traditional promotion have to be considered as well. Such as play ads on Sunday football since males are our main target. MTV and ESPN are also considered the most important channels.

Final Project: Distribution

For distribution on our new and American's favorite Phileas Fogg's snacks. A marketing strategy consists of specific strategies for target markets, positioning, the marketing mix, and marketing expenditure levels. It outlines how the company intends to create value for target customers in order to capture value in return. In this section, the planner explains how each strategy responds to the threats, opportunities, and critical issues spelled out earlier in the plan. Additional sections of the marketing plan lay out an action program for implementing the marketing strategy along with the details of a supporting marketing budget. The last section outlines the controls that will be used to monitor progress, measure return on marketing investment, and take corrective action. (Kotler 56-57)
Kotler, Gary Armstrong and Philip. Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation, 10th Edition.
People can get our product pretty much everywhere. For example, grocery store at every gas station; supermarket and there is a very important place has to carry our product is food machines at school, work place, public places such as DMV, bus station and subway. On the other hand, We have to make sure most of those popular bars are carrying our new product. Drinkers need snacks when they are drinking beers and watching games. Its very important to make sure they love our new product.

Final Project: Product

After everything is ready, I have to introduce you our new and American's favorite snack- Phileas Fogg brought it back from ShangHai with the best of original Asian taste. The most basic concept underlying marketing is that of human needs. Human needs are states of felt deprivation. They include basic physical needs for food, clothing, warmth, and safety; social needs for belonging and affection; and individual needs for knowledge and self-expression. These needs were not created by marketers; they are a basic part of the human makeup. (Kotler 6)
Kotler, Gary Armstrong and Philip. Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation, 10th Edition.
The snacks of Around World 80 days is coming back from UK to the U.S.A and most like are people are going to love it. Right now at market, Americans are getting tired of those traditional snacks such as Cheetos and Dorites. Our Phileas Foggs' are coming back with a whole new story. Brand new out look design, brand new taste and brand new affordable price. Each of our Phileas Fogg series snack comes with a story about his adventure and show our customers about why our product is different than the rest of transnational snacks. For example, The ShangHai Kiss, the package comes with a pic of the night view of ShangHai downtown. Also, A letter from Philes Fogg and tells us where did he found this yummy taste snack. The purple background shows the snack is classic and fancy.

Final Project: Target Market Strategy

Since our new products are snack food we are focusing on male drinkers more than the others. How to make them love our snack when they are drinking beers. First, we have to make sure our snack food taste great. Second, how to make them eat more our new product when they are drinking. Our products are based on chips so there is fat in there can slow drinkers' body to absorb alcohols. More they stay sober, more they are going to drink more. More they are drinking more, more our new product are sold. Our target market strategy is relating to the promotion part. How to make our product get more noticeable is become the most important thing that we have to take care of.
Marketing research is the systematic design, collection, analysis, and reporting of data relevant to a specific marketing situation facing an organization. Companies use marketing research in a wide variety of situations. For example, marketing research gives marketers insights into customer motivations, purchase behavior, and satisfaction. It can help them to assess market potential and market share or to measure the effectiveness of pricing, product, distribution, and promotion activities. (Kotler 106)
Kotler, Gary Armstrong and Philip. Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation, 10th Edition.
Also, we can't just focus on male drinkers but also the rest. Such as hardcore gamers, house wives etc.

Final Project: SWOT Analysis

Managing the marketing function begins with a complete analysis of the company’s situation. The marketer should conduct a SWOT analysis, by which it evaluates the company’s overall strengths (S), weaknesses (W), opportunities (O), and threats (T) Strengths include internal capabilities, resources, positive situational factors that may help the company to serve its customers and achieve its objectives. Weaknesses include internal limitations and negative situational factors that may interfere with the company’s performance. Opportunities are favorable factors or trends in the external environment that the company may be able to exploit to its advantage. And threats are unfavorable external factors or trends that may present challenges to performance. (Kotler 54)
Kotler, Gary Armstrong and Philip. Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation, 10th Edition.

Strengths - Our new product Phileas Fogg's around world snacks has its own strong strength. For example, Whole new package looking. Including his letters and a picture of scenery tells you directly where the food came from. Also, the taste of our product gives our customers a totally new world. Its the right time to let Americans try something different and we are pretty sure they will like it a lot.

Weakness - New product is hard to get recognized and people won't trust us that we can provide something better than those traditional snack food.

Opportunities - We have a very large chance to win this battle is because according to the survey, Americans are looking for something new to feed themselves. Our new product are giving them a whole new feast. All the favors are coming from everywhere from our plant. We are sure you can find a one that you like the best.

Threats - Traditional American snack food is treating us the most. Those products are been in the market for awhile and people are trust them. They are have some royal customers and they are very hard to get. But I believe if we provide some better and something cheaper. They will come to us.

Final Project: Objectives

We are taking serious about our new product and putting apple as our example. How to build a good customer relationship is our main goal. From our product quality to our customer service. To create value for customers and to build meaningful relationships with them, marketers must first gain fresh, deep insights into what customers need and want. Companies use such customer insights to develop competitive advantage. “In today’s hypercompetitive world,” states a marketing expert, “the race for competitive advantage is really a race for customer and market insights.” Such insights come from the good marketing information.2 (Kotler 101)
Kotler, Gary Armstrong and Philip. Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation, 10th Edition.
How to take a good care of customers is one of the most important things we are facing. Our customers will giving our a lot of feedback after we launched our new product. More likely what's good and what's need to improve are coming toward to us. Like I have mentioned above, our main goal is to make our customers enjoy our product. If we don't do it good in customer relationship we are out of the game. There are more than 2000 new products launching every year and only 5-6 products will stay alive. We have to make sure how to make our product survive in this battle. Although customer and market insights are important for building customer value and relationships, these insights can be very difficult to obtain. Customer needs and buying motives are often anything but obvious—consumers themselves usually can’t tell you exactly what they need and why they buy. To gain good customer insights, marketers must effectively manage marketing information from a wide range of sources. (Kotler 101)
Kotler, Gary Armstrong and Philip. Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation, 10th Edition.

Final Project: Business Mission Statement

Phileas Fogg ‘s snacks is to take our customers explore the authentic tastes of Phileas Fogg. Our main goal is going to provide the most delicious, most tasty and most unique tasting experience. Each company must find the game plan for long-run survival and growth that makes the most sense given its specific situation, opportunities, objectives, and resources. This is the focus of strategic planning—the process of developing and maintaining a strategic fit between the organization’s goals and capabilities and its changing marketing opportunities.(Marketing An Introduction, Armstrong & Kotler, Ch. 02, pg. 39). Also, our main target people are guys who like drink beers a lot and eat snacks. We are using the best staff to make our snacks taste great while you are enjoying your beers. This mission is then turned into detailed supporting objectives that guide the whole company. Next, headquarters decides what portfolio of businesses and products is best for the company and how much support to give each one. In turn, each business and product develops detailed marketing and other departmental plans that support the companywide plan. Thus, marketing planning occurs at the business-unit, product, and market levels. (Marketing An Introduction, Armstrong & Kotler, Ch. 02, pg. 39).
